finished cymbalsCymbal Vault is two things: It is an online cymbal store and it is also an online community for passionate drummers who are interested in sharing ideas and sounds. The online cymbal store specialises in handmade Istanbul cymbals, which are fairly uncommon in Australia. The forum is where drummers can share their own soundclips and videos of their own cymbals, talk about cymbals, and also talk about drumming in general.

The name "Cymbal Vault" has a lot to do with how and why I feel very passionate about providing a unique experience to the Australian drumming community through the power of the internet multimedia. This has a connection with the name of my site - "Cymbal Vault" - back in the old days (and even today to a smaller extent), many drummers would directly visit a cymbal factory's cymbal vault to find something special.

cymbals in storageWhen I saw a few American dealers use sound-clips and video clips to sell cymbals, for example www.cymbalsonly.com (audio) and www.mycymbal.com (video) I immediately latched on to this new idea and business model. This is truly GREAT for consumers, and in my opinion, the way of the future. The world is moving very fast. I would have never imagined any of this stuff to have even existed as a concept ten years ago. It is amazing and inspiring.

This is something I passionately desire to provide for the Australian drum community. It allows drummers to experience cymbal sounds and ideas in their own homes. I want my site to be a virtual "cymbal vault", so to speak, for absolutely everyone who comes across my site or my samples. Whether they are browsing and just want to hear some fresh sounds or if they are actively looking to purchase cymbals.

I look forward to hearing from absolutely everyone that has an opinion or comment to offer, and would love for you to jump aboard the community forums and take part.
